heartbite sea salt comes from the "Moranella" salt works near Trapani on the west coast of Sicily,
where it is traditionally hand-drawn during the summer months. Sun, wind, and an Archimedean screw
serve as auxiliary means. The Sicilian Sea, particularly the sun-drenched paradise of nature off the
coast of Trapani is one of the cleanest areas in the Mediterranean. Gourmet salt from Trapani has been
exported to all over Europe since 1884 (even as far as St. Petersburg) and is highly appreciated by
connoisseurs. It derives its unique taste from its relatively high content of calcium and magnesium, as
well as its distinctive moisture and gray complexion. It is more water soluble than regular table salt and
contains the original trace element matrix of the sea.
Content: 100% handmade sea salt with no additives. Composition: Sodium chloride: 98.8%, calcium:
0.22%, sulfur 0.15%, magnesium: 0.11%. Humidity: 10%. Store in dry place. Best before end of
11/2013.
