Dark heartbite xylitol chocolate combines finest chocolatier tradition with modern functional food design. Xylitol is known to have many health benefits and to avoid most of issues related to sugar consumption.
Ingredients: Cocoa mass, sugar substitute xylitol (E967) (29%), low fat cocoa powder, cocoa butter, emulsifier (soy lecithin, E476), flavoring (vanilla). May contain traces of sugar, nuts, milk and wheat protein fractions. Cocoa content is not less than 70%.
Excessive consumption may induce laxative effects. Store in a cool dry place (18 ± 3° C).
The xylitol advantage: No increase of blood sugar level - glycemical index of 7 instead of 100 (like sugar/saccharose). Especially suitable for diabetics. The sugar alcohol xylitol is a completely natural, body own substance (pentan pentol) and is produced in the liver every day.

It is believed that the antioxidants in cocoa are responsible. They are said to protect against the so-called free radicals. These are molecules that can accumulate in the body and damage cells. So, dark chocolate is healthy, and certainly healthier than milk chocolate. It is recommended that you eat every day a little piece of it. One could argue, that dark chocolate promotes healthy eating.
